Elon Musk is now the most-followed person on Twitter

Elon Musk is now the most-followed person on Twitter:- Elon Musk has overtaken former President Barack Obama as the most-followed person on Twitter. Currently, the billionaire has 133,068,709 followers, compared to Obama’s 133,042,819, according to the number of followers on their respective Twitter profiles.

Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter has undoubtedly helped Obama’s follower count skyrocket. The Twitter major hit 100 million followers last June, and that number only kept growing in the months that followed.

In between posting random and sometimes offensive memes, Musk uses his account to communicate the various changes coming to Twitter.

He has also polled followers about some major decisions, such as whether to let Donald Trump back on the platform and whether Musk should step down as CEO of Twitter.

Musk’s posting habits contrast with Obama’s, who primarily uses his account for commercial purposes, such as promoting an important cause or highlighting some of the work he has done as president.

The same goes for Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, who occupy the third and fourth most followed spots, respectively.

Since taking over at Twitter, Elon has made a number of changes to the social media company. Thousands of employees have been laid off, Twitter offices around the world have been vacated, and there are reportedly very few engineers left in the company but Musk is having his way. This is just the company side of things.

On the site, Twitter Blue was perhaps the two most commonly used terms used by Musk for months following his acquisition. And true to their word, Twitter’s subscription service is now available worldwide and users will now have to pay for the blue check mark of a verified account. Starting April 1, legacy handles will lose the verified account.

In addition, Musk has been criticized for bringing back some banned accounts, including that of Obama’s successor, Donald Trump.

Musk has also been looking for a new CEO but that search has so far proved futile as Musk is a one-man show on Twitter. At least publicly.
