This Is Why Elon Musk HATES Mark Zuckerberg

Is there any love between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg? What has happened in the past between these two billionaire CEOs tells the opposite story. Elon Musk just doesn’t like an app stealing people’s data and using it to earn money without any ethics at all.

For many, Mark Zuckerberg is an entrepreneur and capitalist who just wants to increase his profits, no matter what he has to do. However, on the other hand, Elon Musk is known to be a humanist who thinks for humanity as a whole.

Countless feuds have happened between these two in the past, suggesting why Elon Musk has a problem with Mark Zuckerberg. Let’s look at all the insults, and humiliation Elon Musk has done to Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. Once you know this, you will understand what exactly annoys Elon Musk, which he cannot keep a secret.

Before 2016, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg were just living like two tech moguls, unknown to each other. Perhaps, one had an idea that the other existed, but they really didn’t care. Both of them had different industries to race in and dominated on their fields. But the time came when a perpetual rivalry between these two CEOs was about to start.

In 2016, Elon Musk’s SpaceX was destined to launch its Falcon 9 rocket for trial, taking a Facebook satellite with it. The plan was to have a successful launch that would take Facebook’s satellite to space, providing internet service to the developing world.

Unfortunately, this launch was one of those that tested Elon Musk’s determination and failed, destroying Facebook’s satellite with it. Mark Zuckerberg seemed deeply enraged and wrote on Facebook that he was disappointed at the SpaceX failure that destroyed Facebook’s satellite. He said the satellite could have provided internet connectivity to a whole continent.

This was when Elon Musk would have seen Mark Zuckerberg with a raised eyebrow. Everyone knew this was a testing launch, and failure was expected because this was a one-of-its-kind launch. No one, not even NASA, had done something like that. But Mark Zuckerberg wanted his satellite to be in orbit – at any cost.

Facebook was sending a satellite that could have provided internet service to Africa, where the internet was desperately needed. In other words, Mark Zuckerberg would have made an exceptional profit. On this day, Elon Musk came to know how Mark Zuckerberg sees things: profitable and non-profitable.

Whether it’s a revolutionizing experiment or humanity’s success, Mark Zuckerberg worries only about his profits. Elon Musk has never said directly that he has a problem with Mark Zuckerberg due to his business mindset. But Elon Musk really was annoyed with Mark Zuckerberg and could not hide that.

What was next? Well, Elon Musk decided to pull Mark Zuckerberg’s legs on issues he had in-depth knowledge of. Elon Musk said we gave Mark Zuckerberg a free launch to reciprocate the launch failure, and he might also have insurance.

Elon Musk gave the notion, implying that if Mark Zuckerberg is worried about the money lost, then he shouldn’t be. Elon Musk will give a free launch, and the insurance company will pay the money lost in the launch. Perhaps, Mark Zuckerberg would have felt relaxed after thinking that way.

A rivalry between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg had been registered by now. In 2017, Mark Zuckerberg indirectly criticized Elon Musk’s opinion about artificial intelligence. Elon Musk had earlier warned that AI might take the world closer to destruction one day – a doomsday.

Mark Zuckerberg criticized that and said that the naysayers just drum the doomsday scenarios. Both Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg had different opinions, which are understandable. But the reasons behind them are interesting.

Elon Musk would not have revealed the negative aspects of AI if Mark Zuckerberg wasn’t using AI for Facebook. For those who don’t know, Facebook uses high-tech AI tools that probe what the user is doing and seeing. That’s how you get a relevant ad on Facebook with precise accuracy.

Well, Elon Musk does have a problem with that. Whether the collected data will be used for good or not, it’s unethical. Giving AI such limitless liberty to probe users will not bring benefits to humanity, and Elon Musk can’t let that happen.

Mark Zuckerberg was backing up AI because his profits are linked to it. If a limit is put on AI usage, Zuckerbergs profits will be drastically limited. Elon Musk reported that he had spoken to Zuckerberg about the AI issues and possibilities and that his knowledge of this subject seemed quite limited.

Elon Musk has this spicy style where he cannot leave any moment without bluntly telling the truth. And how can you stop him when he has a problem with someone? In 2018, after Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica scandal, Elon Musk publicly deleted Tesla and SpaceX’s Facebook pages.

Facebook allowed Cambridge Analytica to collect millions of users’ data without their consent, triggering ill intentions. Elon again got the chance to settle his scores with Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook and Zuckerberg were breaching the users’ privacy, and Elon didn’t like this.

He has a problem with these things that make money using shady methods. Musk said on Twitter that he didn’t know Tesla and SpaceX’s Facebook pages existed. He said he would delete those pages because Facebook breaching privacy makes him nervous.

Elon went further, perhaps too far, when he asked his Twitter followers to delete the Facebook app. Sacha Baron Cohen tweeted, asking for Facebook regulation, and Elon responded by encouraging people to delete Facebook.

He said that Facebook is lame, which clearly shows how big a problem he has with Zuckerberg. Perhaps, one of the brutal memes by Elon Musk was posted during the US Capitol rampage. Elon Musk showed a domino effect with a domino picture in the meme.

The first domino was labelled “a website to rate women on camp,” hinting toward Facebook’s earlier days at Harvard University. The last domino was labelled “rioters,” hinting that Facebook fueled the fire of the riots in Washington.

Elon does have a problem with Mark Zuckerberg, and the reason behind this is Zuckerberg’s “profit mindset.” He doesn’t care what happens in the world; he just worries about his profits and nothing else. Elon Musk doesn’t like this selfish behaviour, especially when you can influence the lives of billions of people.

Elon Musk himself is the world’s richest man but isn’t selfish about his profits. He doesn’t want the world to suffer while he makes a profit. Rather, all his companies are based on helping humanity. He created Tesla to manufacture electric vehicles to reduce fossil fuel usage and pollution.

He wanted to decrease humanity’s pressure on earth and colonize Mars, so he created SpaceX. He wanted to offer internet service to everyone on earth without any hurdle, and he created Starlink. All his ideas reflect that he wants to help humanity. His earning model is simple: solve humanity’s problems, while still making a profit on it.

Mark Zuckerberg has the opposite mindset, because of this, Elon has a slight problem with him. Once, Elon Musk was asked how he would react if someone produced electric vehicles of the same quality as Tesla at a lower price.

Elon Musk said he would be happy and accept that because the goal is to make electric vehicles available to as many people as possible. What could Mark Zuckerberg have said? Well, you know the answer, and that’s why Elon Musk has a problem with him.

In an interview, Elon Musk said that if everyone is on the same boat and the boat has a hole, and he has the best design for the bucket, he will share that design because we all are on the same boat. What do you think – is the rivalry between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg due to differences of opinions?

Or is there something else? Comment right below in the comment section – isn’t it justified to have a problem with someone who you think steals people’s data and worries about profit only?
