Elon Musk’s Presenting Their NEW GROUNDBREAKING model, Tesla Van

Elon Musk’s Presenting Their NEW GROUNDBREAKING model, Tesla Van: There have been mind-blowing technologies invented in recent times by drudgery companies, but in the world of Electric Vehicles, the impossible has been proven to be possible. Tesla, the world’s leading manufacturer of EVs, has created yet another milestone.

From the production of its massive Model Y, 3, and X, this company has produced yet again another novel tech masterpiece van. Join us as we explore what this Electric Van is all about and if you stay to the very end, we got a surprise reveal from Elon Musk.

Tesla is one company that champions exponential innovation. Despite its massive success in the EV industry, practically controlling the market, this company still goes for more, building more standards that are actually unbeatable by the competition.

In its latest collection of innovations is the masterpiece Electric van. Elon Musk, the founder of this company, announced that they would be producing a masterful electric van, with the strength of a normal van and the speed and technological advancements that come with an EV.

Background of the Electric Van In the fourth-quarter earnings call by investors back in January 2021, the genius founder of this company revealed that he had plans for Tesla to manufacture a battery-powered, funky electric van.

The topic came up when an institutional investor asked if electric vans were something Musk had in mind for the future. This question was not totally out of the blue as Elon Musk had previously publicly talked about his plans for an electric van.

The CEO responded that he does have plans to produce electric vans in Tesla in the future. In his reply, he went into deeper details about what was holding up their plans to move into the van market.

According to the CEO, ‘I think Tesla is definitely going to make an electric van at some point. The thing to bear in mind, therefore, is that there is essentially a constraint on battery cell output.

If one is not involved in manufacturing, it’s really hard to appreciate just how hard this scale of production is. It’s the hardest thing in the world. Prototypes are easy, scaling production is very hard.’

Although electric vans were something that Tesla was looking into, there is a drawback to that need, and the drawback is battery supply. According to Elon Musk, the same problem was also the reason Tesla’s semi-truck program was not making any progress.

Basically, Tesla wants to make a lot of vehicles and there aren’t enough batteries. In 2018, Elon brought up the idea of his company making an electric van. In a tweet, Musk showed interest in working with Mercedes on an electric sprinter van.

The Tweet reads, ‘it may be interesting to work with Daimler/Mercedes on an electric sprinter. That’s a great van. We will inquire.’ The Mercedes Benz sprinter is a light commercial van made by Mercedes and it is a pretty popular choice for delivery vans in Europe.

Even in the US, you can see a lot of sprinters working in the commercial sector. This shows that this is not the first time Tesla has proposed getting into the electric van business. The development of this van would cause a drastic revolution in the outlook of EVs.

This means that the technology would be so powerful that it would push the unclean, slow, and exhaustive gas cars. In essence, less gas, less pollution, less patience with slow vans.

Why Tesla’s Electric Van’s Attract attention Tesla has the capacity to change anything it touches, not just because of its application of state-of-the-art technology or its dedication to providing only the best, but the insightful leader it has.

This is why, of all the types of vehicles that are currently and almost daily released, Tesla’s van is attracting the attention of every and anybody. This van is not just an ordinary van, it is a battery-powered electric vehicle, which would alter the way we view vans and the many possibilities that would be included in this, can incite the interest of auto enthusiasts.

However, there is a very good commercial reason behind the attention this van is getting. Vans are a very critical part of the last-mile delivery of any logistics service. Think of all the packages that are delivered to your doorstep, vans are the principal medium through which these products are delivered. Vans are the perfect option for last-mile delivery.

They are small enough to fit in with the urban traffic and at the same time, have enough cargo space to store a lot of packages. It is for this same reason that leading e-commerce company, Amazon, has teamed up with Rivian to develop fully electric vans for the Amazon fleet.

Amazon announced that they will be getting about 10,000 of these vans on the road as early as 2022, with a total fleet of 100,000 vans by 2030. Also, other companies like Ford and GM, are also working on their electric vans as well.

As we move more and more to electric vehicles, our current fleet of fossil fuel-powered vans will need to also be replaced by electric vehicles, and the delivery service industry isn’t the only market for electric vans. Vans are also pretty popular with suburban families since they offer a great sitting area for families as well as good cargo space.

Tesla also has plans for an electric van made especially for families. So there is no doubt that there is a great market out there for electric vans. Tesla’s van is most likely to change the face of the electric auto industry.

This is because the vans would come in different shapes, for different reasons, and more importantly, it would be complete with high definition technologies to full.

The Immediate Problem: Battery Output Even as a multinational company, Tesla faced what seemed to be like a herculean problem. Now, despite the fact that there is a lot of demand for battery-powered electric vehicles, Tesla simply did not have the capacity to meet those demands.

This problem is hinged on their inability to produce enough batteries. Tesla is slowly switching to 4680 batteries in all their upcoming vehicles. Well, the problem is Tesla has so many different vehicle models lined up, but not enough battery production.

This is the same reason Tesla had to delay the launch of the Cybertruck. The battery supply just wasn’t there to make the Cybertruck. Priority is currently being placed on the Model Y by Tesla in the Tesla Model S factory for now.

Once Tesla ramps up their battery production at the New Fremont factory then we can see other Tesla projects like the Cybertruck, the Tesla semi truck, and the Tesla Van to start picking up traction.

This is because even if Tesla manufactures all these vehicles there won’t be enough batteries to power them, and considering Tesla vehicles, the Cybertruck and semi truck will take much larger battery packs than smaller Tesla Model Y.

It does not make sense to focus on the larger vehicle first, considering the limited supply of battery cells. The Miracle Battery There are a lot of things that Elon Musk is known for, and one of those things is his ability to solve problems at record time, with a fairly permanent result.

The 4680 battery cell was unveiled on Tesla’s battery day, September 2020. This battery is set to be arguably the most crucial technological development in the company’s mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy and since so many future Tesla vehicles, like the Tesla van and the Cybertruck depend on the 4680 batteries, it is more important than ever that Tesla successfully manages to scale production for this.

Tesla said that it has successfully proven the performance and lifetime of the new battery cell through rigorous testing processes. Tesla is ironing out the manufacturing processes of the cell which continue to plague Tesla’s production output.

Despite the fact that we have been hearing since July that large-scale production of 4680 will start soon, there is still not a lot of information on how far along Tesla is. The scaling of production of the 4680 battery cell has been a major challenge for Tesla.

However, we have seen progress in recent times. Tesla’s goal of producing this battery cell in large volumes took a significant step forward recently. The new Caledonian Miner Prony Resources has announced that the EV producer had agreed to purchase 42,000 tonnes of nickel in a multi-year deal.

Nickel is a key material that Tesla needs for its high-powered batteries such as the 4680 battery cell that are currently in pilot production at the company’s Cattell road facility in Fremont, California.

There are also reports of Tesla ramping up their hiring at the 4680 pilot production line still at the Fremont facility in California. So, we might see full-scale production of 4680 battery cells by the end of this year.

And with massive production of battery cells, new Tesla products can now become a reality. The Robo Van Idea New ideas seem to be added to the already overflowing Tesla cup of ideas. The latest of which is the Robo Van.

This van is optimized to carry to transport people with disabilities, among other functions. Elon Musk shared this idea in a meeting with his team. Apart from the Robo Van being capable of transporting large numbers of people, Musk reportedly highlighted that the upcoming vehicle would be designed to address the needs of passengers with disabilities.
